Creative Writing Students - for you!

I want to see the progress of your list poems. I once wrote a poem about the contents of my son's pocket. It was just an exercise, but it felt comfortable to pick a topic I know so well. It became something more because I connected each item to what he might become when he grows up. Most poems have some sort of listing. It is the detail work that poems need to provide images and meaning. Look in the poem "Mushrooms" by Sylvia Plath that I handed out in class. Can you find listing? How about in the Poem "The Blue Booby" by James Tate or "Sex without Love" by Sharon Olds? You will find it everywhere.
So let's see what you got. I am excited to hear from you.
Ms. Feole
